Palaeoclimatology Lab

 

 

 

O Palaeoclimatology Lab da Universidade de Vigo ten como obxectivo o rexistro paleoclimático dos últimos millóns de anos para determinar cuantitativamente: (i) o ritmo, a magnitude e a taxa de cambio climático oceánico no pasado; e (ii) as relacións entre forzamiento, retroalimentaciones e respostas de sistema climático baixo condicións naturais (non antropoxénicas).

 

 

Utilizamos ferramentas xeoquímicas, micropaleontolóxicas e sedimentolóxicas, así como estatística probabilística para reconstruír parámetros oceanográficos e climáticos claves tales como temperatura, salinidade, a química do carbono oceánico e as concentracións de CO2 na atmosfera.
