GEOMA – Grupo de Investigación en Geología Marina y Ambiental

GEOMA

The Marine and Environmental Geology (GEOMA) group is a competitive Reference Group of the Xunta de Galicia, and has been part of the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo since 2016. It is composed of six stable researchers, belonging to the University of Vigo, and a dozen contracted predoctoral students and researchers, from different areas of Earth Sciences and who are currently carrying out their research activity in the marine environment.

PMAGLAV

The laboratory of Paleomagnetism of the University of Vigo is a leading facility at the national level in relation to the study of the effects of the magnetic field.

PALAEOCLIMATOLOGY LAB

International reference Laboratory in the climatic study of the Earth.

INNDAGA

It is a platform for the realization of oceanographic works in coastal areas, developed on a vessel of 8.5 m in length.

EQUIPMENT

The available infrastructure is composed of both own equipment and large equipment or facilities belonging to the University of Vigo or associated with the Campus del Mar
